Recipe
for French Oven Stew
Ingredients:
2 pounds top round steak, cubed
3 sliced celery stalks
4 sliced carrots
4 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
4 cubed potatoes
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup quick cooking Tapioca
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Mix all ingredients in a large, oven proof casserole dish. Cover
and bake at 300 degrees for about 3 hours, or until meat is tender and
sauce thickens. Stir once every hour.
Makes 8 servings.
