Recipe for Whiskey Christmas Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
6 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup bourbon
1 pound chopped pecans
3 cups white raisins
1 teaspoon nutmeg

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar and then beat in eggs one at a time.  Sift in the baking powder with the flour and add to the batter, alternating with bourbon. Mix in the nutmeg.  Coat the pecans and raisins in flour to keep them from sinking in the batter.  After coating, add to batter. Pour in 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 300 degrees for one hour.  While cakes are still warm out of the oven, you can sprinkle more bourbon on top.
